    HappyHomes
    Together in the neighbourhood

    Neighbours looking out for neighbours

    Your home speaks up.

Many neighbourhoods already have a WhatsApp group where residents share anything that stands out. HappyHomes is a calm, smart addition to that. Not only residents, but homes too can indicate when a little attention or a look around would help.

    Example alert

    Attention requested

Unexpected movement was measured at the HappyHomes on Lindelaan.

    Time: 03:12

Could you check from a safe place whether anything stands out?

In case of immediate danger: call 112.

An alert never says that residents are away and never draws a conclusion about what is happening.

What it is and what it is not

An extra pair of digital eyes, nothing more

    This is what it is

    • A home that indicates when a little attention would be welcome.
    • A calm, clear alert to people you choose yourself in advance.
    • An addition to the contact you already have with your neighbours.

This is what it is not

    • Not a control room and not a replacement for the police or existing neighbourhood watch.
    • No cameras, no camera footage and no video being passed around.
    • No judgement about what is going on. A signal asks for attention, not assumptions.

    In four steps

    How it goes

    1

    You decide when

The resident sets when the home may pay extra attention, for example at night or during a period of absence.

    2

    The home notices something

A sensor measures unexpected movement or sees that a door or window is open.

    3

Your trusted circle hears about it

The contacts you chose in advance receive a calm alert with a clear instruction.

    4

    Someone looks safely

Look from a safe place, get in touch or call 112 in case of immediate danger. The alert can then be closed as all clear.

    Safe and privacy friendly

Careful with your home and your data

    You choose your own circle

A neighbour, a family member or your manager. You decide per alert who receives it and which instruction comes with it.

    Sensitive alerts stay small

An alert first goes to a small trusted circle. Only when needed can it then be shared safely in the neighbourhood group. You do not simply tell a large group that your home is empty.

    Observe safely, never approach alone

An alert asks you to look from a safe place or to get in touch. Never to approach a home or a situation alone. In case of immediate danger you call 112. HappyHomes does not call the police itself.

    No images and no conversations

The sensors record no images and no sound. Movement is a signal, not a conclusion that there is a burglar.

    What you need

It is already in your package

The standard package includes a motion sensor, so you can start straight away. Would you also like a door or window to be watched, then a door and window sensor is a possible extra sensor for €5 per month.

This is part of HappyHomes and not a separate subscription.

    Frequently asked questions

Who receives an alert when there is movement?+

You decide that in advance. You choose a small, trusted circle, for example yourself, a neighbour, a family member or your manager. Nothing goes automatically to a large neighbourhood group. Only when needed can your circle share the alert there safely.

What is expected of a neighbour after an alert?+

Look from a safe place to see whether anything stands out, or get in touch. Never approach a home or a situation alone. In case of immediate danger, call 112. HappyHomes does not call the police itself.

Do you watch along with cameras?+

No. There are no cameras, no images and no sound. The sensors measure things like water, temperature, humidity and movement. A signal asks for attention, it is not a conclusion.
